ZIP, encryption and retention

Archive your sources together and set retention for older archives.

How to use it

  1. Open ZIP and retention in the job and enable ZIP backup.
  2. The main folder contents and selected additional sources are included according to scope and exclusion rules.
  3. To protect the archive, enable ZIP encryption and set a password. This is separate from the application login password.
  4. To remove old archives automatically, enable retention and enter a day count. Five days means older archives belonging to this job are cleaned from the destination.
  5. The temporary local archive is removed after upload verification. Test a downloaded archive with an AES ZIP-compatible tool and its password.
Good to knowKeep the password safe. ZIP mode uses archive retention instead of per-file deletion synchronization. Creating a new archive requires free local disk space.
